In Memoriam (Restaurant Casualties 2016)

It comes with great sadness every year that we remind people which local restaurants are no longer with us.  Restaurants go out of business for a variety of reasons, but the one reason that we never want any place that we really enjoyed to close is because they lacked the foot traffic.

Here is the list of restaurants who have gone out of business since our last yearly update:

L. Simone African Cuisine
Brandywine (Eastown Location)
Brighton Graye’s Bistro
Cafe Aromas
Chuancai Fang (Grand Rapids)
City Vu (Holland)
Curry Nights
The Dog King
Drewski’s
Earth Angels Soul Food
Fajita Republic
Fat Johnny’s
Flying Bridge Fish
Forest Hills Inn
Garden Diner (Formerly Bartertown)
Great Lakes Shipping Company
Jade Garden
Mayan Grinders
Milo’s (Grand Haven)
Oh My Salad
Organic Gypsy
Paulinas
The Pizza Experiment (Formerly Cult Pizza)
Propaganda Donuts
Seoul Garden
Shawarma Fresh
Small Town Soup Shop (Grand Haven)
TJ’s Smokehouse
Waldron Public House
XO Asian Cuisine

Now, I am sure that I may have missed something, but these are the places that have been on my radar this past year.

Make sure to support your local restaurants by thinking of them first when you are considering dining options.

HAPPY EATING!
